Grief is not a single experience, nor is it limited to the loss of a loved one. While grief is often associated with the death of a person or a pet, it can also arise from many other life changes and transitions. People may grieve the loss of a partner or relationship, a career, physical health, a sense of purpose, or the identity they once knew. These losses can be deeply impactful and, at times, difficult to name or fully understand.
I believe that the pain of loss does not simply fade with time. Instead, our capacity to carry that pain—and to live a meaningful, fulfilling life alongside it—can grow. Healing does not mean forgetting or “moving on” from what was lost; it means learning how to integrate the loss into your life in a way that allows for continued growth, connection, and purpose.
My approach to counseling is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and respect for each person’s unique experience. I work alongside individuals as they navigate grief, helping them develop perspective, manage self-expectations with kindness, and better understand their emotional responses. Together, we focus on building practical tools and coping strategies that support resilience and emotional well-being.
Therapy is a space where you do not need to rush your healing or meet anyone else’s timeline. It is a place to explore your story, honor your loss, and strengthen your ability to move forward at a pace that feels right for you. Whether your grief is recent or long-standing, you do not have to navigate it alone.
